The Brander Vineyard in Los Olivos hosted its popular Bouillabaisse Festival on August 26 to benefit Hospice of Santa Barbara. Bouillabaisse, a delectable seafood soup, is the French equivalent of cioppino. Variations on the recipe took center stage at the Bouillabaisse Festival, which included a friendly competition featuring some of the Central Coast’s finest chefs.

This year’s winners in the following categories were:

Classic Bouillabaisse

•        Second Place – Blush: Chef Mossin Sugich
•        Third Place – Sly’s: Chef Federico Orduna & James Sly
•        First Place – Arch Rock Fish: Chef Michelle Krakowski & Scott Leibfried
•        Second Place – Ca’Dario: Chef Dario Furlati
•        Third Place – Birnam Wood: Chef Cris Rosemond
•        First Place – Willows: Chef Sergio Renteria
•        Second Place – Pane e Vino: Chef Gisilliermo Rosales
•        Third Place – La Cumbre Country Club: Sous Chef Alexandra Getz
