Bouillabaisse Festival Sold Out

Bouillabaisse Festival and Competition at Brander Vineyard to Benefit Hospice of Santa Barbara

August 21, 2012, Santa Barbara, CA – The Bouillabaisse Festival and Competition at Brander Vineyard, which has returned to Santa Ynez Valley after a six year hiatus, has filled the community with excitement and  anticipation – so much so that the event has already sold out! This year’s festival takes place this Sunday, August 26 from 1-4 p.m. at The Brander Vineyard in Los Olivos, and benefits Hospice of Santa Barbara.

Bouillabaisse, a delectable seafood soup, is the French equivalent of cioppino. Variations on the recipe take center stage at the Bouillabaisse Festival, which includes a friendly competition featuring some of the Central Coast’s finest chefs. Judges for this competition include some of the most renowned names in the food and wine industry, such as Philippe Sautot, Arthur Von Wiesenberger, Krista Harris, Leonard Schwartz, Meridith Moore, Guy Gabrielle, Gabe Saglie, and Laurence Hauben.

The event will also include a silent auction with one-of-a-kind items, including the chance to win a weeklong trip to Thailand. Musical guest “Spencer the Gardener” headlines the event.
