Common Ground Santa Barbara Reports Registry Week Results and Vulnerability Index Data
May 9 community briefing on homelessness in Santa Barbara County
Santa Barbara, CA, April 26, 2011—On Monday, May 9th, leaders from local government, non-profit, business and faith communities will report to the community the results of Registry Week and the data collected through countywide surveying of homeless individuals and families by 500 volunteers. The one-hour briefing will take place Monday, May 9th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 2901 Nojoqui Avenue in Los Olivos.
WHO: Common Ground Santa Barbara volunteer co-leaders and sub-committee members; Registry Week volunteers; Community attendees representing government, business community, faith groups, law enforcement, and local housing, homelessness, supportive services and outreach nonprofits.
WHAT: The briefing will cover:
- Summary of Registry Week results
- Presentation of Vulnerability Index Data
- Next steps to house the most vulnerable
- Announcement of new community participation opportunities
- Selection of a new campaign name from submissions from Registry Week volunteers
