Tucson, AZ (KOLD) – In response to the growing list of seniors who have requested fans to help combat summertime heat, Hundred Palms Tucson is holding its fourth annual “100 Fans from 100 Palms” Fan Drive.
The independent and assisted living community is asking people to donate new fans which will be given to local seniors in need.
They’ll be used to keep seniors cooler and safer during the hot summer months.
To help collect and distribute the donated fans, Hundred Palms Tucson’s partner organizations include: Pima Council on Aging, Mobile Meals of Tucson, Inc., Twilight Wish Foundation, Catholic Community Services of Southern Arizona, Inc., Lutheran Social Services of the Southwest and Interfaith Community Services.
The organization is asking for new 14-inch (or larger) oscillating fans or 20-inch box fans.
You can drop donations off at 102 South Sherwood Village Drive.
Donations will be accepted seven days a week, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., now through August 31.
Those wishing to make a financial donation should make checks payable to Hundred Palms Tucson.
