Santa Barbara High School Songwriter Showcase at SOhO Restaurant & Music Club
Benefiting Hospice of Santa Barbara
May11, 2011, Santa Barbara, CA— Join Hospice of Santa Barbara at SOhO Restaurant & Music Club on Monday, May 16th for the third annual Santa Barbara High School (SBHS) Songwriter Showcase to benefit HSB’s Teen Bereavement Services. Listen to talented student musicians from Santa Barbara High School’s Songwriter Club perform original material and show your support for Teen Bereavement Services at Hospice of Santa Barbara.
Concert co-producer and student musician Savannah Meares expressed her hope that the evening will further the assistance students at SBHS and other schools receive through HSB’s Teen Bereavement Services.
“These kids are just like us and it is our hope that Hospice of Santa Barbara can help them through a difficult time in their lives, just as music helps us every day,” Savannah said.
Past fundraisers at SOhO produced by the talented student singer/songwriters of the SBHS Songwriter Club benefited the Tea Fire victims and the Music and Science programs at SBHS.
The May 16th showcase is co-produced by student performers Savannah Meares and Hannah Bangs, co-presidents of the SBHS Songwriter Club. Music teacher Charlie Ortega serves as faculty advisor to the student musicians.
SOhO owners Bob and Gail Hansen continue to demonstrate their ongoing commitment to community by once again opening their hearts and doors to Santa Barbara’s local and upcoming talent for yet another worthy cause.
