Peoples’ Self-Help Housing (PSHH) celebrated its 45th anniversary at the affordable housing provider’s Central Coast Taste of Hope dinner and auction gala Nov. 13, 2015, garnering over $106,000 in sponsorships and an additional $30,000 that was raised that evening.
The year People’s Self-Help Housing began, the world looked much different. That year was 1970, when the average cost of a home in the United States was just over $23,000, John Fowler, PSHH President and CEO, told the crowd gathered to celebrate the organization’s work on Friday night.
